    My next door neighbour has got this and he's picking up average speeds of around 48mb...

    There;s many factors tbh but the main factor = Nearer you live to the Telephone exchange the better your broadband speed will be.

    Virgin seem pretty soft of privacy... I've downloaded over 90GB worth of stuff over the last few days or so..

    That's not the case with Virgin, it uses 'fibre-optic' cable and not telephone lines. You could be 74,563,991,251,665 miles away from your nearest exchange.

    Well I get 2000kbs download speeds, which is more than fast enough for me, and I only paid £6 for lifetime VIP, and yes, I do have SSL, not that I would need it as i'm using a dodgy modem.

    Ye sorry, i meant ISP's who are not fibre-optic.
