When they are used in laptops they are integrated into a graphics chipset which is on the board.

    You're getting your terminology wrong.

"Definitions of integrated graphics on the web:

    2. A name used for a graphics adapter that is embedded into a motherboard chip, typically the Northbridge. ..."

Nvidia and ATI graphics cards are totally seperate GPUs in laptops and so are not integrated.

    • A chip on the motherboard that shares the video memory with the processor. Don't usually perform as well as dedicated graphics cards.

You can't get a graphics card in a laptop. They are never separate from the motherboard either, they are always embedded/integrated and part of the chipset.

Again, someone doesn't know what they are talking about.

Actually some of them are connected via a PCI-Express bus so, no, they are not integrated.

When someone challenges your point, they automatically don't know what they're talking about. And when people back up the person that's challenging your point, they don't know what they're talking about either. Has it ever occurred to you that you might be mistaken? You see people admitting they're wrong in this section all the time, you might want to try it once in a while. People won't think any less of you.

As for football manager 10, I wouldn't worry about getting a high end laptop for it tbh. If it has similar specs to football manager 9 and it lists the minimum graphics requirement as "nvidia FX 5900" it doesn't need all that much graphics power as that card is about 5 years old! Most games will run on most new laptops anyway, it won't look stunning but should be playable

Grow up. That bullet point does not say that you cannot get dedicated graphics cards on laptops.

If they were all integrated then how could you do this?: http://www.legitreviews.com/article/349/3/

Not an iMac or whatever they called. :L

    But I like that one.

He's on a budget and it means he'd have to get a Mac and install XP on it etc etc, he may aswell just get a Windows machine which would get him more RAM and HDD space for his money.
