As Lucy said we did make a list of events for the eos to use to help get rid of the easy option of quizzes etc, and personally I think the range of events has improved .

Someone said about there bieng more big events, weeelll we already have Back to school (January) Love week (February) Easter Extravaganza (Easter) HxSS (August) Halloween stuff (October) + Christmas events (December). Personally I think that's a fair amount because if there's too many they're not anything special. I do see what you're saying though, and not that long ago me and Lucy were talking about how to make the bigger events more interesting rather than just doing a week of events every time. It'd be helpful if you could tell me more about the kind of events other fansites are doing and how they work to *hopefully* spark our inspiration, or of course suggest some other ideas which we could use.

Forum events would be hard since events has always been a community based department and the only way I can think of doing a few on the forum would be to do with the chat, like a quiz on there or something with a forum prize. We'll be giving away VIP in regular events starting from september too so that'll hopefully bring a few more people from the forum to events since as there'll be a useful prize to them (I'm guessing the majority don't use Habbo anymore).

Yeah but i dont remember any of these but yet i remember when Clubhabbo had an apprentice two years ago, because it was big. And what kind of things did you do in these events? Was it just the same games that can be found in the Game room section?

Fansites are basing there events on TV's shows which users like for example
    The Apprentice,Big brother, Love Island,

Im sure you could make an X Factor forum event where people send in clips of them singing? And they prize can be a few months of VIP or maybe some rep.. or maybe something else?

Yeah it was just a load of games that can be found in the game room section, but most of them (if not all) had forum prizes, hence why I was asking for ideas on how we could make it different.

There's already an X Factor event but it's run by HabboxLive and is better known as habboxstars. We'll have a think + hopefully we'll be able to get some more interesting events rather than just the usual events, but more in a day and bigger prizes.

I agree with the points said from Mwah, the events have become repetitive and simple there's no originality in the events anymore.

@Mwah Habboxlive host the X Factor thing you're talking about, habbox starz so thats still running.

I think events should do team events more like a monthly TC and each eo has a room? Quests, long events. These events make more originality and creates a wider range of events which will make Habbox more interested. I think to run such events will be difficult but can be managed. The prizes need to be good as thats the whole objective of a player when they go to events - to win. It will be hard but events can pull it off!

But how many forum members listen to Habboxlive? Its mostly Habbo users sending in Clips so maybe even a seprate one or just make that comp for the Forum users?

Maybe a forum quiz which takes place for a space of a week and win vip or something? I don't know! But the forum is more for the FORUM Managers and people on the forum. Events is more for Habbo and Habbo events rather than on the forum. But I get what you're saying. Hopefully events will do something

I imagine it can be difficult to continually come up with new and exciting events.

Not sure if it's been done before, but something the Events Department could run is an Olympics. The Habbox Olympics.

Similar to the current summer event, but over a longer period of time. Coloured teams probably 4, or even fancy named ones. Lol, the Habbox Hotshots springs to mind. No staff leaders, staff to run the events and keep score.

Three or four events held during each week, over 4 weeks or so. For example a fridge race, 8 lanes, two players from each team to compete, you could even have a relay team event, and you must collect a specific item ie. something from the fridge, before you can race off. Give it some twists, you must be sitting with an icecream or similar to finish race. Make a simple race, a fun race.

How about an obstacle race? Again narrow lanes, use rollers, seating, plants or whatever. Not an over complicated maze. Again this could be used for a relay race.

Or how about a pet rescue, 8 players maximum at a time, 30 or so porters in one room, most are pairs, except 4 or 5 which lead to random rooms, but one does lead to the hidden pet. First 4 to find the pet earn points for their team and for themselves. This event could be run with 4 players, and easily run a few times. Shuffle the porters for each session.

Points awarded to first 4, 10 points for 1st, 7 points for 2nd, 5 points for 3rd, and 3 points for 4th or similar.

Winning team receive an award, and winning team members something special.

If it's so important to have Habbo Staff involved, why not ask them to come referee, or attend the awards ceremony, when winners take the podium.

I'm really out of touch with Habbo these days not having played for a long time, so forgive me if I'm talking rubbish if events like this do already exist.

You could hold a Speed dateing event for forum only members, but just call it that but its really just for members to get to know people they dont/would not really talk to.

And make people post in a thread and then PM them a room PW so they can get into the room and it would stop normal Habbos / make them register and become active to take part in it..

God i think i should be events staff

Thats my understanding of event, i dont see why events should not be in charge of "Habbox Balls" and other things like that, including chatshows. They should obv tell managment if they are hosting a ball or some other big event tho.
Ok well if you look at the departments in Habbox alot of what you want is covered.

Habboxlive - Habbox Starz (singing) and All the Balls ie Halloween, christmas etc etc mainly because they have the radio to do all this.

Comps - Well looks like they have the forum quest sortid

Events - HxSS, Love Week etc.

I think the best idea for a big event has come from MissAlice with Habbo Olympics, you say all the other fansites have HBB etc. We don't want to be like other fansites and follow in their footsteps so i would try as hard as possible not to do love island and so forth but i would be more then happy to organize Olympics.
