Comps - Well looks like they have the forum quest sortid

Events - HxSS, Love Week etc.

I think the best idea for a big event has come from MissAlice with Habbo Olympics, you say all the other fansites have HBB etc. We don't want to be like other fansites and follow in their footsteps so i would try as hard as possible not to do love island and so forth but i would be more then happy to organize Olympics.
I do agree with you Lucy,

If we did a HBB or The Apprentice this would be copying and would give Habbox no originality what so ever. I do like the sound of a Olympics though.

I do think that Habbox Events can get repetitive sometimes but I admit myself I could pick events which a lot of people don't do very often.

In fairness to the events team, with an outgoing Community AGM this thing was thrown together in a HURRY. I remember when I was events managed I forced things to be very different and there were a ton of different events. Also last year we had departments doing events (we did the year before that too) so there was a lot of difference.

A HUGE amount of the burden this year fell on Events and they also didn't have the time I did to deny events that were Falling Furni again (though I'm sure they can verify it, the booking thread is somewhere in the archives) because they needed to fill every slot - pronto.

As far as big events, Habbox does TONS of them. A lot of people do remember the spectacular, there's Habbox Stars etc.

The reaosn you remember what CH does is because CH is a much smaller forum. Its much easier to know everything that's going on because you can keep track. Habbox is much larger and you can be busier keeping track of the new information in a single section than the CH forum.

That's not an attempt to rip ClubHabbo - we have become two different types of fansites, Habbox has a large userbase and is the more dominant fansite HOWEVER ClubHabbo has a small but very faithful community and is much more tightly knit BECAUSE it has a smaller community and as I said, its very difficult to miss users as you can here because you can spend your entire day occupying a single forum

Yes ino, and other people complain but this is what you sometimes get with different events, people will find away to complain about it and hence organisers get put off

Why does Habbox have the near enough the same events every week? Looking back before HxSS they events have been

Falling Furni, Twisted Falling Furni, Snake, Don't Roll a 6, Races, Don t Roll a 6, Falling Furni

What makes people choose these events over the hundreds of similar events that you can find by going to
Its gone a bit off topic, but I'm trying to say that with these big events that you want, people will complain and find a way to criticse it and that does get really annoying after a while when you try your best to bring new things in and get shot down

As much as I know you're feeling victimised for whatever reason and I hate to add to that, but that really is the wrong attitude. If nvr and MattGarner said "yknow what, we aren't going to make any changes to improve the forum any more because people might criticise us" there would be uproar. You have to do adventurous things to improve and keep things fresh. If people criticise you for it, you take it on board and alter what you're doing to please the critics (or tell them to sthu ). Criticism is a good thing, treat it as such!

Yeah i agree with that and i dont know why he feels like that.. no one is complaining everyone is just suggesting way in which events can improve. It's not like im saying "HABBOX EVENTS ARE **** CLOSE THE DEPARTMENT"
