It would only work like that if the amount of trades for 4CS was the same as the amount for 5CS. Otherwise it would just be a straight average (which you did mention) otherwise if there was say, one trade for 4CS and ten at 5CS, a value of 4.5CS wouldn't be accurate (the actual value would be 4.91CS).

awh thank you for the mention. Nice to be known ;p

But what if someone was to buy at 4hc 6 times, and at 5hcs 12 times, surely they should want to put it at 4.75hc.

I am not going to explain how that is worked out, but anyone with a mathematical mind should be able to figure it out.

what the hell ill give it a go. - Because it has sold at 6 times each its fine at 4.5, however if it sells a further 6 more times it will put them halfway between 4.5 and 5 because of the people still buying at 4.

EDIT: sorry i didnt see robald post after ashboy's
i wos commenting to him not robald.

When it was traded at 13 thrones and 30hcs, the throne value was 86 club sofas, making the trade value 1148cs. However, the yellow spaceship door is still valued at 1148cs but it's throne value has gone down in 'thrones worth' due to thrones being worth more, however it's overall value is still the same.

well yes if more are selling above 4.5 then the value would have to increase closer to 5 hcs.

supposing thats the whole point of even using a decimal system with annoying values such as 2.7 hcs for childline sofa? why not 3 hcs make it simple? because the price range is 2.5 - 3 hcs for childline sofa possibly more are selling for 2.5 than 3 so its just shy of 2.75 hcs.

1.75 hcs for idea supercake? come on how the hell do u get that figure if a price range system/mid = market price isnt used? how do u even meet that figure in a rare furni trade?

Our prices are only guides and trades do not have to be exact when refering to them.

personaly i think habbox should change the prices according the the difficulty it is to find an object not trading because its not very hard to dupe habbox valuers and they get the blame for the prices all the time.

qauntity and rareness should be what there valued at .
quantity* and rareness are pretty much the same thing, the quantity will directly effect how rare they are. if there is lots, not very rare. not very many, then rare.

    your logic is awful x

Perhaps there should be two values, what they are currently trading at and what the guides think they should be selling at (or a bit that suggests this rare will go up/down in value)
