I probably could have gotten one or two A's but I'm happy with what I got and I got what I needed for college

They use UCAS and you get a certain amount of UCAS points for each grade in GCSE and top universities require a certain number of UCAS points which can only be obtained with high GCSE grades.

Also GCSEs are important to universities as I know people that have been Rejected from Universities and the reason given is "GCSE results do not meet requirements". It is an unwritten thing.

The top universities do not work on points at all. They make their offer on A-level grades, not points .

Which is a C in maths and English. Oh the horror! Or sometimes a B, they generally couldn't care less about anything else.

Did humanities last year and got an A, pretty proud of that seeing as I'm not in YR11 Yet
