    do you think i could get a decent custom build with £500? it'd be used for games such as WoW and typical lan games such as L4D, MOHAA, GRID etc

    prefer to spend less than that but yeah

    I'd consider getting the new i5's that were released today. Reasonable prices.

    I agree at £150 for the 2.66GHz, but I'd probably wait a little bit for the motherboard manufacturers to get some practice in at making boards for them.

    How to the i5s perform in comparison to i7s clock for clock?

    Very similar so I have read. The main difference being that the i5 does not have HyperThreading, which wasn't that great on the i7's anyway

    Yeah, I had a look on anandtech. Only performance difference is the bits where triple channel DDR3 is helpful and HT.

    Yeah, I believe you can get a good stable build for around £300.
    That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.
