Death Note is simply amazing, he wasn't asking you to compare it to other anime.

Death note manga is pretty awesome the anime not so much.

I got rest of chirashis now so i have all 13 OP movie ones.keeping an eye out for movie 10 one which is out soon.

Did you read the manga before watching the anime or the other way 'round?

I watched the anime, then read the manga and while the manga is undoubtedly awesome, I like the anime better. The voice actors really brought the characters to life and Madhouse sure know how to handle the animation. The series is worth it for Mikami's crazy writing frenzy in episode 36 alone. Also, did I mention the voice actors really brought the characters to life? Light's VA and Matsuda's VA in episode 37... BEST. VOICE. ACTING. EVER.

I can name 5 anime off hand that are better than Death Note
I watch mainstream anime too, Bleach and Naruto.

Anime then by the 10th ep i was reading the manga. this was way back before the hype started because i remember was mate in college he told me to try it.

and the anime va's are good i just didnt like how when they turned to there side there chins grew.

Um just at the top of my head i can name 4 series that i PREFER. no point arguing on whats the best manga since everyone should know ^^ dno bout anime tho. havent seen a sales thing for anime series.

The anime is better because Light has the most amazing facial expressions. :8

The manga didn't interest me so I don't want to waste my time with the anime. I know for a fact I won't like it better than Death Note.

It depends, I think Hajime no Ippo, Code Geass, D.gray-man and Gintama are all better than Death Note.
