    Thanks, but it's a little off-topic.

    It's a major issue with Firefox and not our computer specs.

    Has your firewall blocked Firefox? It can do at times. You have to make an exception in your firewall settings.
    Internet > Change Firewall Settings > Exceptions > Tick Firefox
    Allow exceptions should be on too.

    Hope this helps.

    have you tried doing a system restore? sounds nooby, but it's a last resort.

    Basically just click skip and all your taskbar items will be still running. then click Switch to gaming mode. then you will see all the unnessecary programmes being turned off.

    Hmmm I get ads on IE pop-ups... it's definitely something I installed I can't trace it.
