Default Darren Huckerby Going To Retire! :(

Former Norwich forward Darren Huckerby is set to retire from professional football due to a hip injury. The 33-year-old, who plays for San Jose Earthquakes in the United States Major League, has had surgery on the joint.
The former Coventry and Manchester City player made 203 appearances for Norwich before moving to the US last year.
He told the Eastern Daily Press: "I've got to give it a chance to see how it is but I'm 99% sure that I am done. I have done everything I have wanted to."
To me thats a real upsetting as he was a great striker for City when playing for us. Left footed like me, and he played on the left wing/upfront like I used to enjoy playing as a kid. He was my childhood player lol. Had his name on my back and everything and started to spike my hair like his.

I know a lot of you won't care but he was my childhood player and I feel like posting this as it is really worth it to me. I'm sure Matty and Alex will remember him, one of City's best players when we were a Division 1/Premier League Club. (sort of like Wolves I guess?)

As a Norwich fan I have a similar sentiment. A true professional and an absolute legend for my club, could easily have left us for a Premier League club but showed the kind of loyalty that rarely exists these days.

Well you asked for it, so heres a long story to read about lol.

My dad lived a couple of miles from Blackpool, and at the age of six Man City vs Leicester in the F.A Cup final was on TV. The player 'Neil Young' was on Man City's side so he said he would support them to his dad. City won the game and from then on he just listened to the radio and said he supported City, he also went a few times in ten years with his dad to watch City. He then went to University in Manchester and watched quite a few Man City games. He then moved to where I am now for a good job, and brought me up as a true blue and a made me a Junior blue on my birth date (Matt and Alex should no what a Junior Blue is). Then ten years ago he took me to my first game against Coventry which we lost 2-1. From that game onwards, me and him have been watching about 95% of the Man City home games, and have been to quite a few away games.

    Enjoy my story?

Funnily enough I was born blue because I was running out of breath when being born. So in a way, I was born a blue and I shall die a blue!
