i think it's a mix of both. i'm hopeless, i always will be at anything even remotely artistic. however, i have seen people improve for sure through practice. even if i tried really hard i wouldn't get any better, my brain just doesn't work like that.

I think to stand out there has to be talent there to make it that bit more special and individual, but you can learn and get better.

I think it's possible to train yourself to become talented at anything, but also it comes more naturally to some people than others.

It's all about practice. Everyone starts out equally then the more you practice the more you improve. The only cases where people are 'born' artistic are some types of autism where people are literally naturally good at it. Everyone else just has to practice, it's a skill like any other that can be honed.

I'm rubbish at drawing free hand, I can do engineering diagrams and whatnot like that alright, but plain and simple drawing I'm just kak at . I can draw using a computer though, much easier and they come out looking a lot better.

Of course it's a learned skill, but some people do seem to have a keener eye for detail. That's only really relevant for life drawing and such rather than art as a whole but being able to control your pencil/pens/paintbrush/other words beginning with P is obviously going to help

Also known as being born gay But besides from that stereotypical points!

Anyhoo, it depends what you consider art. Some are naturally talented with portraiture, and different types of portraiture, while others are better with other things like sculpture or clay.

It depends what really When you put your mind to it, you can create some interesting things.
