Made me laugh, scene hair.

I suggest that if your hair is that short wait for it to grow longer and then take in a picture of what you want, the hairdresser will then have more to work with.

why not take a picture of your hair and show us.
plus it depends if you have like a cows lick or whatever. some styles can't be done with things like that.

Omg my hair is swept over and I have like three cows licks and they seriously will not go. Totally annoying as they give you an unwanted part in your hair although you can work with it. I get my fringe cut choppy so it looks alright then.

If you want longish hair in any style you're pretty much gonna have to do some work on it. Might need a little straightening, a bit of styling wax thrown on here and there (that's what I do) so yeahh it will need work.

You're best letting you hair grow quite long first and then letting a hair dresser cut into it how you want it and stuff.

Its all possible, even if your hairs naturally straight, when it gets longer its gonna get straggly, so i would still suggest straightening it. x
