...No, I credit them with a decent performance in both matches, actually, but that doesn't mean they're world beaters, dominant forces, deserving of recognition YET.the two things that they could ONLY do was:
play on that pitch
beat what was in front of them
they did both, against two of the best teams in the world, yet people like you give them no credit and class it as some sort of 'fluke' - well beating SA in SA and Sri Lanka aren't 'flukes'.
My statement means they were assisted by the pitches cos they suited our style of play, as opposed to SA/SL's. It's not a negative thing, it's something to take into serious consideration before you blow all of England's chances into a great sky-high expectations at every attempt!
It's not negative, it's constructive, sorry for not blowing their trumpets every single time they win a match/series!
You french fried when you should have pizza'd. If you french fry when you should pizza, you're gonna have a bad time....
GREAT BANTER
TheWolf, stop arguing, seriously, its getting annoying now.
England lost 6-1 in the ODI series against Australia at home. You need to take that into consideration. When England win a few ODI series in a row against the top 5 teams, then they will start getting recognition. Winning 2 matches doesn't make them amazing.
India lost 1 match and they are out of the tournament, it doesn't make them awful that they didnt even get to the semis. They won with ease on a pitch that England struggled on badly.
England have got to the semis, well done, but today will be another big test for them, against the Aussies. If you win this tournament, it still wont make you the best. Like I said, you need to win a few series in a row. England have some very good players, but they need to rotate the players who are not doing so well, get new ones in and give them a chance.
England can easily be in the top 4, but they just need to rotate players and find the best combination.

234-7 isn't bad considering they had 101-6. bresnan 72 not out.
hopefully Bresnan can stick in until the end
still haven't taken batting powerplay don't know why they leave it so long :/
You know if they had the option of not taking it... I wonder if they'd actually use it :S:S
