Default Best FREE Video Editing Software?

I am in need of a software to edit videos, it has to be free and work on XP. I got to make a advert for my GCSE Product Design coursework.

    +REP if possible.

Also is there any good websites for sounds, animations etc. for videos?

    Cracked version of Vegas Pro.

Failing that, there's not many other options, other than Movie Maker, I think

There are some sound effects on www.zedge.com but you have to register, and they're mainly designed for mobile phones, so may not be much use to you.
