    Thanks anyway.
although I have only been abroad a few times, I think that would be fine. if you're going to see your grandparents, the nightlife shoudln't be to much of a big deal. do everything in the day, then inside things at night

But yeah, that life you had is what it's like when i'm there.

Did you find it a BIG invasion of privacy as well? I feel really uncomfortable around them but at the end of the day, they are putting there life on the line for me, so I have gotta come to facts that I need to live with it and just get used to it. Just fustrating that the second I land is the second I lose my personal space. Off the plane straight into a car, most lamest thing ever.
Yeah, I hated it. And i got into loads of trouble once because i managed to ditch them for like an hour to go off with my friends and i sparked a city-wide manhunt

You can go out for the "night life" at home. Forget about it.
You're making the trip especially to see your grandparents - hence you actually need to SEE THEM.

Forget about the trip there and back. Forget about the security. Just think about when you're in their house and catching up on things. If I was you, I'd just want to go out with them to the beach through the day, then stay in a night and talk. You're going to see your grandparents, why ditch them at night with some friends you see every day and get wasted like you could at home?

Of course, I don't know the reason for the security (however interesting or saddening it may be), but that is what I think from the info you've posted

Yeah true, I am missing the whole point of the trip. Thanks.

The security comes down to money and just money. Simple.

It's for your own safety. If you can't display age online, then I guess the outside world is too dangerous.

I can't display my age on particular sites. All sites I used that has high traffic has a threat assessment on it, if it has the risk of threats within it then no it cannot be displayed.

Although now I cannot put my age on any website to due some users on the forum now who's joke really wasn't funny, well not for me.

Anyway, i'm still not sure whether to go, might go next week depending on many factors.
