Need help with an idea...

Ok...
im a rep/events manager for 4 clubs, and i do lots of nights and we having problem becuase we have sometimes 3/4 events a week, or website order gets full fast, and its costing nearly more than what we making...
So
i was thinking is we could get a texting serivce where they sign up into a site and pay there and then it send a barcode and then on the door they scan and you go in.... ??

Is this possible i got a couple of hundred to spend because its costing nearly over £600 just for tickets and dropping then off to house and people....

m8, you could pay a few £'s for a server, set it up for sms, have a database with their numbers in ect.. then make a script make a random code then they could show that since a barcode wouldnt work off a mobile, the scanner wouldnt be able to read it properly...
