Im glad to say there is an exit to hotel view button without clicking on the navagator:

Lol I know it has always anoyed me havting to go to the navagator...
Btw when you hover over the Exit sign it glows up!
[The news only pops up when you log on/ reload hotel as far as I know there isnt a button to re-open it!]

There's also a report button and everything looks like a mess when made small.
