I can understand if it was for like Photoshop CS4 which does cost a lot but when Microsoft and websites have sold this for like dead cheap before it officially came out. It's stupid just going to download it for "free" from other sources.

Yeh I actually removed that earlier on Matt. I was half way through writing it saying if it was hundreds of popunds, but decided someone would probably have a problem with me if i said it haha.

But yweh considering it is for British people as a whole, dirt cheap. Recession or no recession, £30 for something you casn use for years on end it dirt cheap.

Honestly, I do download most of the softwares illegally, but OS's I never download illegally. I always buy them and at £30 for students, it's a very very good offer.

What soundcard is it? My XFI works fine and I do believe Creative have Windows 7 Drivers out.

I just used my Creative X-Fi Windows Vista CD and it worked. It's easier to switch default devices in 7 for a start, no mazes to go through

Right, I'm off to another forum to metaphorical slap someone in the face who suggested Windows 7 wouldn't install and would be as buggy as hell. The only problems so far was with moving thousands of files to the computer... That was it. Though installing Microsoft Office and Photoshop CS3 is going to be a bit of a cow :/

When I downloaded from my Technet account it maxed out my connection (A fairly okay 760KB/s) so its not too much of a pain to download it - still faster than having it shipped to you

You are definitely sure you used the right email, and your college/uni isn't blocking it for some reason?

I don't have a .sch.uk e-mail address, so I provided proof of my classes (via digital scan, which they said is allowed) ~ waited two hours and no reply back yet.
