.
Looking at both sides, not got a good feeling. The first teams are quite even but Liverpool have a much stronger bench. Hm..
Good game. 2-1 to us and I think we deserved it but Liverpool played very well. Very close at the end. Aquilani looks quite decent and great to see Nasri!
I went the pub but in the end didn't get to concentrate on most of the game. What I did see was so frustrating though, it was like we were too relaxed or something because we just weren't doing anything with our chances. I reckon we had too many young guns out (Rafa will never learn). Don't get me started on Babel and Veronin. Not to mention Veronin was doing Torres' job. I can't understand why Benitez wouldn't just throw Torres on for the last 5 minutes (if he'd been a sub of course!).
Insua's first goal for the club wasn't too bad though!
Instead of making a "the referee crumbles again" thread (regarding the handball penalty claim for instance), I'll just say well played the Arsenal.

How can Liverpool have young guns may I ask?I went the pub but in the end didn't get to concentrate on most of the game. Can't blame Rafa for putting a half young side out. He has two very important games coming up and no point playing the big stars. And he didn't want to risk Torres as without him chances are you'd be out of the Champs League. A team without Gerrard and Torres against Lyon has a slim chance of winning.I went the pub but in the end didn't get to concentrate on most of the game. Also, as the post above says Liverpool don't have 'young guns'
Plus your team wasn't that inexperienced. You had probably 3-4 proper young players and a decent bench.
We had a very young bench and about 4-5 young players.
You just lacked that finish to be honest, but you created a lot. Liverpool need to invest in another finisher![]()
