I can hardly imagine any actor would do as well as Caine has done if he was 'exactly the same in every film he's ever been in'... Not like he hasn't won countless awards and been nominated for even more. Not like he wasn't appointed CBE for contribution to cinema.

How many Caine films have you seen? Yes, he's won many awards, good luck to him, but that doesn't take away from the fact that he can't play anything but the same person in each film.

That doesn't change a thing. If he was a versatile actor, he'd be able to drop the accent. Ever seen him play an American? He sounds like he does in every film he's ever done. Look at Ben Kinsgley, as English as a sixpence, yet he can pull off any accent down to a tee. Originally Posted by thyflux
