Having the desk in the middle would be quite good. I know the Habbo Mall has a nice desk area on the back wall in the centre - this might be a good spot?
Or, why not go totally different and go slap bang in the middle of the room with space all around?

First time I've seen it and I think it's a very nice room. Closing off the events area is fair enough when it's not in use, but then again, doing so just makes the size of the room unnecessary. This could be done in a seperate room for use as required. However as it's only for the Christmas period, I think it brings a pleasant change and is great as it is.
