I got it, postman left the package in the bin yet again.
It's pretty much AC1 upgraded, its got more thought in the story line and obv the upgraded weapons etc. Smoother animations too.

I never played AC1 properly though. Got it release day and never fully played it. About 4 months later I played through the story a bit... got a bit further but struggled to grasp the storyline so I'm hoping ACII doesn't rely too much on AC1's storyline...

i think it does. it carries on from AC1 and what the character (forgot his name) does next

I realise it's the same guy, same format, same time-thingyjig but I just want it to be a different period in time thus different story and not be dependent upon the first. Mind you, if it's exactly the same as the first one it might be next year until I play it properly.

He goes off to some other group with another animus and they program him to see another of his assassin ancestors during renaissance italy, so yeah it is a different time period
