British people go to India/Pakistan for holidays, do you expect them to buy loads of Pakistani/Indian clothes to wear while they stay there? Indians/Pakistanis come here to LIVE HERE AND CALL THEMSELVES ENGLISH! They want to be classed as English yet they speak their foreign language, wear their foreign clothes and do not wish to take part in any English things (hence why they all live together, they might as well be living back in their own country!)

Here's my take on this. I live in Oldham, and we have one of the highest numbers of Pakistani's and Indian's in the country.

My college is probably 50% white 50% non-white, so I'm used to, and I accept ethnic minorities. The majority of them are hard working and do the jobs that us English think we are too good to do. The majority (95%) of non-whites in my college are fine and I get on with them. The ones that don't get on with white people are usually looked down upon by friends of their own ethnicity aswell, not everyone is like you say.

Although I do admit, walking through Oldham at night on my own and coming across a group of Asians is quite scary, although I'd imagine they feel the same way. When I got mugged in Oldham, 3 times, it was white people each time. A few Pakistani people even tried to help me, so you know.

Every day my life involves seeing customers, obviously we get a lot of Indian/Pakistani buyers with me living in Manchester. Do I act any different towards them as I would act towards a white English person? No. In business you have to put personal matters to the side and just get on with it. We notice many differences between white English and Pakistani's/Indians but we just have to do it (although it isn't a rare thing for us to turn down any Indian/Pakistani customers when it is bordering closing time). This isn't because of their skin colour or nationality, just imagine it as being a type of white English person that aren't really a joy to sell to, that is how we see it so we are obviously not racist.

I've read through some of these posts and have come to the conclusion that 'Mint' is a racist. No other word can describe him.

He talks about non whites like they are not human, even referring to them as 'two extremely different types of people.'

The only thing i would agree with him on, is how its annoying that the seem to all live in the same areas. That being said, these areas tend to be where the cheaper houses are, so they can afford to live there.

Its not nationality, race or religion that people should be judged on. If we all thought like mint, then we'd all hate our own race as well as every other. Also, anybody who thinks this is their country and there british, trace your routes.

As expected, someone that dislikes me for my attitude towards them. I'd just like you to know that if it wasn't for all the people like me living here in England then the amount of them moving over here would be much, much more higher than it is now. It is people like me that stop the political people (don't know much about them lulz) from just letting them all in. If nobody here minded them being here and nobody here said that it is getting out of hand then they would just be able to freely move here and this country would no longer be England. If people like me didn't say no to all this immigration they would all just flood in. Thankfully this is not the case and England has still managed to stay mostly English.

It is good that we also have English people who like them, it encourages them to come over because they know that they would be welcomed and will be able to live their lives so you people in this thread that like them - great. We need them for jobs and such, I see a lot of them in the hospitals/dentists and they are really nice hard working people, we couldn't do without them.

I am asian, I have a white long term girlfriend, I live in the whitest part of Reading. I speak 3 different languages and am very well spoken. I hold a slight dislike towards other asians completely dependent on their attitude but that is because they try to have this gangster, thug-life attitude.

However going by what you're saying, if I were to board a bus and call my mum and speak to her in a different language probably because I didn't want the whole bus to hear my conversation you would be offended by it?

I guess the true welsh, scottish and irish won't be allowed on alex's bus either.

In case you were completely unaware every ethic group has its own social class you can say.

In England we used the older system of chav, townie, goth, mosher etc etc. These days its more like chav and non-chav.

Same applies to Indians and Pakistans they have their own equivalent. So going by your excuse it is fair for me to say.

I hate all white people because I met some chavs as frankly that's the area I live in and I wish they would leave my country. Also for the Muslim equivalent I wish they left their country too.

Frankly this country is where it is today because of every ethnic group, I wonder what the white to asian ratio is for doctors in hospitals? IT technicians, lawyers, accountants etc etc. To hate a group of people because you encountered a minority is so stupid that you may be eligible for a darwin award sometime in the future.

Well that's just hypocrisy at it's absolute best. You and others criticise Indians and Pakistanis moving over here because they want a better quality of life, in a frankly better off country than their own. Yet 200,000 people are so annoyed by immigrants, they go immigrate to another country to seek a better quality of life.

How is that any different? Anyone who plans on moving country because of immigration is a hell of a hypocrite.

And being patriotic has nothing to do with it. I'm very patriotic, I'm proud of our history and proud of what our nation is today. Whoever is living in the country right now is not going to change that, and what's more, "these foreigners" living in our country our all part of our history and present. Many British Muslims fought for us in World War II, there's also a lot of Brits from Caribbean Origins fighting for us in Afghanistan right now.
