I never got into Yu-gi-oh. For me, I got tons of Pokemon stuff and was totally into it, quite into Digimon too, and slightly into Beyblade.

I was a Yu-Gi-Oh master. Got Gate Guardian in the first pack I ever bought, and Spine Dragon in the second. The two rarest cards at the time. I'm just so lucky when it comes to raffles and things like that. :8 I got another Gate Guardian about a month later and traded it for a load of rares. Gained myself a reputation in school as the only one with the strongest card. Damn, how sad I was but those were the days! Everythings cool when you're a kid. :8

I sold all my Yu-Gi-Oh cards to my brother but I still have all of my Pokemon cards. I have a massive collection. Got that Ancient Mew card that whatshisname has in the second movie n'all.
Lol we had this "quiet area" at school which was essentially a little yard with lots of tables to sit at and all the Yu-Gi-Oh kids would sit there all lunchtime playing it .

I still have all my Pokemon cards as well. Although there was quite a few I never got. Man I was a stupid kid as well, I remember at one point I had about 4 or 5 Vileplumes (at least one was shiny) and I traded them all. :S:eusa_wall I never went to see any of the movies at the cinema so don't think I have any of the special ones. Do you mean that crazy shiny-pink/gold Mew card?? Where did you get them from?

Lol cool. I remember once I found something really weird. It was a Dragonite (shiny I think) but somehow it had been sliced PERFECTLY from its back. So it was just the front of the card, like a floppy piece of paper, just lying in the street :S. Anyway I stuck it to an Energy card and it looked perfect. Never tried to trade it though because of how rare I imagine Dragonite is.

I had the most awesome Beyblade. A proper Japanese import from Toys R Us. Cost like £20! It was Ray's one, which I think is called Drigger. It's very well made, proper high quality and very solid - probably why it always won - it was heavier than the others.

Pretty much the same in my school. I never really played the game though, I was more of a collector. Everyone was into Pokemon. People used to just throw their cards into the air and everyone would fight to get them. That's how I got my first card lol. Also why they got banned.

I didn't get any special cards either. I was proper looking forward to getting one but aparrently they had already given all of them out. I just traded my friend for his later on though.

Yeah, this card. My mum bought it for me from a shop called Comic Connections. They sold loads of rare Pokemon cards. It cost £8. I swear I was the happiest person on earth when I got that card.

Yeah people would hit them out of people's hands haha. I never ever saw the game played properly, it was far too complicated. Sometimes we'd play our version which was basically, 'Mine is higher level, so I go first. I use Thunderbolt, takes off 80 and your HP is only 30 so I win' and then it would be an argument when the loser wouldn't hand over their card . Tbh I can understand why they got banned now lmao.

That's pretty cool, I'm glad I didn't spend too much money on buying really rare cards though. Kind of defeats the object for me of trading and stuff. I used to buy those boxes for like a tenner I think? They had a few good cards then a million **** ones and energy cards but they were always exactly the same so there was no point buying the same box twice. £2.50 was so expensive for a packet yet everyone was happy to pay it!

I'll sell all of my olds cards in sixty years when they have become antiques and live the sweet life off of the profits for another ten years until I die. You'll se it on the news! It'll create a boom in Pokemon cards and they will surge back in popularity.
