It might matter to you but in reality people just don't care, it doesn't matter what nationality they are (Indian/Pakistani) as they will just be seen as the same.
And back to the jobs, what makes you say "oh an Asian must of got it they are better workers"? In actual fact there was no jobs left, the application sheets should of been removed weeks ago. Even if this was not the case and someone else did get the job, why do you say it was an Asian? When we are talking about Asda/Argos/Somerfield how can Asians be "better? Do they scan the products through the checkout faster or something? The Matalan has pretty much only Asian workers, this is because it is in a part of rochdale that is full of them. The McDonalds in Oldham doesn't ever seem to have 1 Asian worker, this is because it is in a part of Oldham where you don't see any Asians. My point is, if the area surrounding the workplace happens to be full of Asians then there is obviously going to be a lot of Asians in that workplace. It's nonsense that Asians are better workers than English, what do you think happens in areas that don't have any Asians? They seem to get on fine, or even better in them really nice areas. Somerfield doesn't really have any Asian workers even though it is in an area that has quite a lot of them. When my brother use to work at Somerfield he said that apparently they didn't hire many of them because when they did they always seemed to form a friendship group with eachover and not really communicate much with the other workers, but that's a different story.
And about English people competing with taxi firms, I think English people prefer to drive black cabs around London, the backstreets of Manchester just isn't our style.
I love going to nice places such as the lake district/durham etc, reminds me of how England use to be. The only people that benefit from multi-culture society is them.
