I believe Garion would be a fantastic CAFM if he agreed to use the hotel more. Not taking anything away from the work Matt puts in, just that he seems perhaps more suited to a forum role if some of the criticisms that come up against him are true.

That nonsense aside, this really does seem to be exactly what we need. Obviously we can't see a mega difference right away but if Habbox (as a whole) becomes more of a presence more frequently on the hotel then it really can't be a bad thing. As long as staffing is sorted and nothing's left out of current jobs then this looks all positive to me.

All I did was point out that you were wrong, as no staff were "distracted".
So I didn't make a point in this thread you're bringing up other stuff which I was told was wrong in the other thread so didn't mention again. Bravo! My post is just as pointless as the one above.

For the benefit of Saurav, somebody who actually wants to improve the forum I will explain myself better. I'm not just talking about management. If you were to read my original post again you'd realise I'm not against the idea I just don't know if it's that beneficial:

    Cons
    - Distracts staff from their normal routines and other departments could suffer
    - Not that many people are going to join Habbox because of it seeing as they're not joining for the right reasons
    - The majority that attended were habbox staff or already members

    Pros

    - It's a bit of light hearted fun
    - It's something different that other fansites don't do, therefore making Habbox stand out a bit
    - It doesn't take long if organised properly

Sorry if I was a bit rude about the idea. I haven't been on Habbo(x) for the last 4/5 days so that has to be considered too. I have nothing against the idea at all I was just making a point that I don't want other things to hinder whilst they happen, is it such a sin to want Habbox to perform well on all fronts? Apparently so. Also, can someone (Oli) explain how I was rude to MattG in this thread? I have looked to find this but can't and would hope super moderators wouldn't assume things and jump to conclusions, last time it happened to me the Super Moderator and Forum Manager sent me an apology PM with a promise it wouldn't happen again.

Sorry if I was rude or insult anyone in here because that wasn't my intention although if my post was rude it would have been edited  yes, it must've been so god damn rude!! Or somebody just wanted an argument  it's ok he's staff though!!
I think thats a much better post. But as Oli said, HxF is just a part of Habbox - albeit a big part.

I think they should do regular shows but do it so Staff cannot visit. Only open it to normal members. Allow one staff to go in with the sole job (or two staff) both with the job of recording the show, which can then be posted on Habbox.com for everyone else to see.

I honestly don't think a few hours working on this would divert them from their jobs. However, management needs a complete reshuffle and it needs it very quickly!

I really enjoyed performing this and it was great to see people finding it funny and genuinly enjoying it. I think it actually brought the staff who did it closer as we had to use teamwork and be commited into the roles.

Anyway to get users signed up is a bonus, even if its only just for furni. I think a lot of the current forum members who post frequently were attracted by habbo.

I think we should do more of these shows as theyre great fun and overall it really boosts Habbox's popularity

That's your opinion, his was his. If you wish to disagree with him on whether people were distracted or not or whether its good for habbox or not, i'm all for that.

But i'm sorry to say that as far as i can tell this post appears simply to be inflammatory and attempting to provoke an argument.
This is not appropriate for a member of staff. True, your human, i imagine your now annoyed - its a natural reaction. But my advice now is step away from the keyboard and cool down a bit else this will just get more heated and nothing good will come of it. I know this is pretty pre-emptive, but i'd rather that. Nothing good will come if you keep going as your currently heading.

The topic is whether large scale community events are good for habbox and weather they are worth the time requirement imposed on staff. Not about who said what when, and who is ruder.

    Sigh.

Personally, the event went very well, a few more dates could of been organised, and it could of been advertised a little more as phone mentioned, but all in all good.

And btw, the forum ran smoothly and no one was distracted from their jobs as we have ample staffing in our department. xoxo

+REP for that, served it's purpose well.

Also, I'd just like to add whenever the new AGM Community is appointed they should be directed to this thread and see the positives and negatives and gauge their own opinion. I think it'd do well if it was a yearly thing rather than it becoming something that happens more often. Well done to all those involved anyway

It was really good but maybe you could of ran 2-3 shows during different times or consecutively. So the people lining up wouldn't be upset.

It was hard enough getting everybody online for one showing

It will be on youtube later.

I think more like this should be done. It gets Habbox's name out on Habbo again which can only be a good thing. Not necessarily just pantos like the one today, but things like chat shows and more large events, like takeshi's castle and the cube rather than just several rounds of the same games.

And well done to Oli for getting the panto to work because this time last week he was pretty adement it wasn't going to happen, but it magically came around!
