Also in reply to the ts the HC is shown on habbox for the average price not the lowest.

For example, an HC sofa can only be worth 15 credits if the minimum value in the marketplace is 15

I think you lot mistake the two-way process of Habbox and its bias. Habbox dictates rare value more than the marketplace does.

Habbox just does what the users want it to do.

    Give up-to-date rare values.

I think you misunderstand the way it works, Habbox does not have a solid grip on the market because if it did like you are making out, then items would never change from their Habbox value so thus Habbox does not have a solid grip on the market and never should.

Yes some people treat it like a bible, but apart from writing 'Habbox is Guide' at the top of the values pages we can't do anything, whenever i'm in a room and somebody goes 'but Habbox says its 0.5' or w/e I tell them its a guide. Habbox cannot stop people following it like the bible.

Undertake, I am not a great believer in saying that experience gives wisdom. However, I have been on Habbo since '03 and over the years Habbox has always been used almost religiously to value rares.

Take for example the Samovar scam one of your ex co-workers set up. I guarantee you that whatever you change a Throne value to it will be worth exactly that.

Habbox does dictate the market. I'm rather shocked you don't appreciate this.

Instead of leaving you in the dark about the Russian Samovar i'll tell you exactly what happened and I can use it fort future reference aswell whenever it comes up (as it usually does).

We were having a discussion (the department) about items that needed moving into the right sections, because with the different categories appearing we decided we needed to start placing rares properly. A member of staff called DaWnOfAaRoN then pointed out that the ione Gifts (Throne, Russian Samovar and Holopod) were all technically super rares.

Anyway as it happens I spoke to 8Freak8 (then Habbox GM) and he agreed to let us move them to super rares if we held a poll first which asked whether people thought they should be supers or not. The poll over overwhelmingly in favour of moving them to supers, however as it had been left to a poll many people saw the thread and thought to themselves "i'll start buying samovars and holopods then because if they become supers it must mean they'll be worth more" - they first went up 0.5 CS, 1.0 CS, and so on until it got to stupid amounts. I did my job and updated them, infact I never planned or did make a profit out of any of it, I had had a Samovar for a while in my room and I refused to sell even when it was at its peak or dropping, I kept it until it was down to the 1.2 CS level because I never intended to make anything out of it, and never did.

Anyway back to the story, 8Freak8 then went back on his word about them and as a Habbo called Rosie had contacted me on Habbo to ask about Samovars (she had 100 odd) it all looked a bit, well.. bad. nvrspk trusted me when it happened, and he still evidently does as i'm staff again now after Immenseman asked me back to the department.

You obviously have something against Habbox hence why the Samovar Saga has been brought up, and I really don't know what you would like us to do except stop providing rare values, but if we did then another site would then gain dominence and you'd be in exactly the same position. If rares move, then we have not got complete dominence and we should never have complete control either.

Credits have changed, we changed with them.

Interesting post taken from elsewhere I think?

I personally have nothing against Habbox, what I do hold against Habbox is the what I still believe to be semi-ignorant pricing strategy.

That post is what happened, I just wrote it up and it'll never change because thats exactly what happened with that whole Samovar Saga. On the credits, the majority as shown by screenies all over this forum and by traders on the hotel, they rose and thus the Club sofa and other rares have become worth less in credits.

Do you want to know something?

People have claimed we fix values for years. Thats nothing new.

SOmething else I would like to say on behalf of Habbox, as those people who claim it are normally pathetic idiots who have so idea what rare values are.

Not that I am calling you that :angel1:
