They have not lodged bids, simply requested medical reports which ALL clubs do at the start of scouting players. It may not even reach the stage of getting into the media it's that early.

Don't know who they are or where they play.

As for the defenders, I'm guessing that Chielleni (sp.) would be one for sure as he is the only notable Italian defender after Maldini retired and no idea if Nesta still plays internationally but those two were the best full back pairing I think. He'd be Lescott's replacement. The other two would be full backs. The German one, I'd say Lahm but I think he hasn't moved so far for a reason. The French one, I'd say either a wierd move for Clichy or Abidal but I can't see either of them happening.

As for a German midfielder I'm not sure really. Swiensteiger (can't spell that at all), or maybe a youth one like Kroos or Ozil.

Anyway, Lescott was a crap signing.
