well, as said by other management.

Habbox needs to sort out its UK side before even thinking about moving internationaly. As well there's always improvments and the UK side isnt as strong as it could be, so going into international would mean things wouldn't get on.

We are currently getting more reporters on board and would be happy to expand Internationally if we are asked to do so. I completely agree with Jess. If departments work together to offer a decent output of content, and suitable advertising is put in place- this could work in a positive way. We must ensure it does not distract from our UK offerings though.
Personally I think you should go the other way and cut international news altogether. I can see things like a help desk and radio events pulling in users to the forum but habbox.com itself is still a UK fansite and we just don't have the userbase and presence on international hotels to give international features on the site a real go.

Those international hotels have their own fansites covering international news far more closely than habbox ever will, the international news on habbox is just snippets of some of the more popular news which people on other hotels will know about anyway by the time they come to read habbox. It just seems redundant to me.

There isn't a US userbase because you guys don't bother on Habbo USA. Getting a US staff team shouldn't be hard at all; Habbox is a popular fansite, and people like working at good fansites, it wouldn't take much for some US-ers to apply.
And besides, the current US fansites suck.

There is definitely a lack of good fansites on foreign hotels. It has been tried before and it was very hard to find dedicated US and CA staff. If it was as easy as clicking your fingers like you appear to be suggesting then I'm sure current management here at Habbox would look into it in depth. At the present time there are more pressing issues they dedicated their time too and rightly so.

It's not that hard to find a dedicated team, but when a Habbo sees that you're not interested in their region, they see it as if they'd be wasting their time helping out on a foreign hotel, much like I am for a CA fansite. We can't do as much as we'd like to do.

We certainly aren't saying this isn't something we would consider in the future however for now our UK fanbase is what we are concentrating on

You make it sound as if the UK fans will leave if ever you divide attention, lol. You guys are massive, been around forever, the most popular English fansite, and you guys sound afraid, loool.

It has been tried before though, for years. The fact remains there just weren't enough dedicated foreign staff thus Habbox couldn't expand it's superiority over fansites. If they tried to put the forum as official on other hotels then it'd be beneficial, they could host 1/2 events a month and as I've already mentioned get an influx of new users, other hotels give their fansites more coverage and better treatment than UK staff do.

Does this idea not relate to the forum?

I talk of "we" as a community anyway... I'm just echoing the words of many other staff members in this thread.
