I know they have filtered words in but you can't really use them to directly insult anybody. I have no idea why they are, they never were on Habbo - even before the filter was lifted. You were always allowed to use those words because they're not detrimental to posting or the atmosphere to the forum whatsoever. I'm sure there are more but yeah those are from the top of my head.

If we allow those then you have those who start using it as a means to using the original abbreviated word for the simple sake of having nothing better to say. As i have said for many times before and will continue to do so why do you need to swear on a forum?

these aren't swear words. this is a teen forum, for teens. i'm not one of those users who want to scrap the filter altogether or anything, i see this as a realistic request. i don't know why they're filtered, if there isn't a valid reason for something happening then it should've never happened. it has, so it should be reversed.

I dont really see whats wrong with just saying "lmao" instead, and fml and *** shouldn't be unfiltered for the reasons brought up by Yoshi. However, we are going to be going over the filter shortly and trying to clean it up a bit and start removing things (if theres really anything to remove).

Edit: Oh fml isn't filtered. Probably should be.

Then it kind of contradicts the inappropriate language rule. As then people will request more and more words, thinking it is acceptable and i don't generally enjoy seeing a thread or post full of swear words if that's what will become of it.

@ Sammeth: I think there seems to some confusion over what 'fml' stands for, as i can think of it in a few ways, did it get clarified?

because lmao is no way near as good as *****. yoshi didn't make sense, i don't see how people would use fml as an alternative of saying the NORTI f word because they're completely different. when i say fml it's not because i want to say **** lmao ;s

@yoshi; no, it won't. just because you unfilter these words which obv isn't gna happen doesn't mean you have to unfilter **** ***** ******* or whatever. because they are completely different.

I don't make sense or you only want your own way? I will leave it here in saying what i have said before, i don't understand why you simply need to use those words.

No, you don't make sense dear, I meant exactly what I said and laid it out in pretty unequivocal terms. You're implying that unfiltering said words would mean people use these words to use the F word. People don't say lm.fao or FML as an alternative to say ****. I hope that got through to you, it's a ludicrous and bizarre suggestion on your behalf. You can't just make things up to aid your opinion.

I don't mind if they're filtered or no - that isn't my decision. However, if Sam and Forum Management believe it's fine then that's cool because they run the forum. I'd like to see them unfiltered, I've made that clear, I don't see why these words should be restricted. Like I mentioned Habbo have always allowed these words (even before the uplift of their filter) because they're not used to create a negative atmosphere.
