prolly animal collective. even though their albums in 09 aren't as good as strawberry jam and sung tongs, its crazy how much attention theyve been getting. theyve been able to make their songs more accessible without changing their incredible weirdness.

I first heard Just Dance in summer 08 and I was like meh average theb by what February I was obsessed and I still am. No one can deny she was the biggest breakthrough artist of 2009 and for me 2009 will always be her year

I wonder if any new artist will match her success this year? Ke$ha anyone..?

    this man speaks the truth.

the fact they released a perfect album at the start of the year, then managed to follow it up with another perfect EP before the year finished was amazing.

honestly i think the fall be kind ep is even more solid than merriweather post pavillion. hopefully thats a sign that their next album will be even more epic. mpp is very good but i think ill always have a deeper love of strawberry jam. once theyre done with their tour, which is very soon, theyre going back to the studio for another full length, i honestly wouldnt be surprised if their next album is out by the end of the year, they work really fast. usually their albums are spaced anywhere between a year to a year and a half apart.

i hope a new album drops soon, although i'm not so sure - panda is doing a lot of solo shows and may have his own stuff in the pipeline. not that i'd complain about that.

have to agree on MPP vs FBK - fall be kind is even better. just wish there was more of it.
