i was banned for my amount of usernotes. but what i don't get is i was banned for a month when i had one infraction, sure i'm controversial or whatever but when i have no idea how many user notes i had and hadn't had a PM about them for approx. 6 months then yeah. if you're going to use usernotes then they should be made visible. i thought it went like this:

you're bad. usernote. same offence. warning. same offence. infraction. obviously dependent on the severity of rule break, some go straight to infraction. i hate user notes because they're so unclear but obv i'm not a mod and i guess they're pretty useful. could they be made public to users or scrapped? They don't need to be made public for the same reason the staff forums don't: because they're an internal system. Exactly the same thing could be achieved by putting all records of PMs in a thread in the staff forums, would you want them to be made public then?

I've only had one infraction which was from lAscend.. oversize signature when I first joined (disappeared at the last clean-up).

    Doesn't really bother me

I have loads of reversed ones and it looks so untidy and it's annoying because if they were reversed it shows you didn't do anything wrong so why should they still be there? I have one or two from a while ago aswell! I think an infraction clearout would be a good idea.
    I love it when you
    flex like that

Certainly not something I was aware of . I do believe it was suggested at some point, though. I think the argument against it was that expired infractions are used as a record to the extent of a user's rule breaking. We don't count them against you, but if you have a ton of old expired infractions and a number of active ones, they do help to indicate who the serial rule breakers are. Additionally, the process of removing old expired or reversed infractions involves quite a lot of work - as far as I am aware it has to be done manually via ACP. Nevertheless, I'd quite happily do it. I will discuss this with Matt and Sam, and we'll see what happens (and I promise this discussion will be a prompt one ).

Yeah, Garion I understand and if you decide there are better tasks for you to use your time on then that's cool. I don't think you can tell much from infractions in 2008 and what not. The vast majority of people on here are teenagers, people mature considerably through there time on here. Although, I'd say some of the oldest members at the least mature but hey you get what I mean
