tell him that he cant love you then and then say you can't be bothered to talk to him anymore. If he's worth it he'll come running back.

That's not true at all, some people just don't function well in relationships and feel uncomfortable with the idea of it. I shouldn't imagine that in such a short time real "in love" love could have blossomed, especially if things he does still comes as a surprise, but that aside you shouldn't force someone into a relationship they don't want to "prove" their feelings.

I think rather than him actually being a jerk your view of him is just tainted because he's hurt you. It's in your best interests to remain friends (unless he really does turn into a full on tosspot) and just accept that the relationship was a mistake

So yeah the title says my main feature of this thread. I went and took alot of ya'lls advice to go ahead and get a new guy. So i've been with him for a while now, and it's got quite serious. We have these never ending phone calls every night where he constantly tells me 'i love you, or i love you so much, i never want to lose you, your the one, your the best girlfriend ever' Yes it is irl incase your wondering But the thing is... sometimes we don't talk at much and I miss him loadssss. He tells me im all he talks about to his mates and he can't get me out of his head or stop thinking about me. Today I woke up, to go on msn and find out there's something he wants to tell me. Being ' Meree I think we should just be mates ' My main question being 'WHY!?' 'He said he loves me still but wants to end it' 'i said did u mean all those things u said? (That i listed above) and he said yes' The main thing that got me conufsed when i asked did u really mean I was the one, and he said yes. SO WHY END IT?

(Im on ps3 so it wouldn't let me write anymore sorry) and basically how could he steep so low to tell me all those meaningful things and then go and hurt me like that. It's beyond selfishness at how upset I actually am. But why would he do this if he says im the one for him, im the best gf, etc. +rep for mature, answers.

All i can say is don't fall for all that crap. I've been with too many girls and thrown around the word 'Love' but never meant it. I'm still young and have a lot to learn and love isn't one of them yet.

It's stupid that he seems to have no reason over it. Especially in the quite so sudden way that you describe it. He surely must have a reason, try asking?

If he just throws you aside just like that then I don't think it's worth wasting your time. Although I agree, it probably would have ended anyway between the two of you eventually, though the thing is he hasn't really good a reason for it which I find quite strange. I think you need a talk to him, and see how he feels and if he doesn't care then throw him away as he just won't be your time by that point.
