It was dead but now its not :)

It was really weird. I came in from school and found my hamster dead my next door neibour is a vet and he came in and looked at him and said he was gone (Up in hamster heaven) So i accepted that. Then i went on the internet and tryed to see if anything could be done to bring him back. I found a few things such as putting him near a fire ect. So i sat with him and then stimulated him body then about 5 min later he was moving again and hes now well enough Apparently he was hibernating ..

that's really weird. to be honest it doesn't sound very healthy if a vet thought it was dead, get the vet to come and have another look. because if they thought it was dead then god knows what's up with it

I thought hamsters didn't hibernate?

My friend's little brother apparently threw his hamster at a wall and it was like paralysed for a day but then it was fine I think.

yeh they do my friend once thought hers was dead so she put it in the garage (for a reason i will never know) she finds out it was only hibernating goes back and finds a hamster on ice....

this is kinda like my friends fish!
she woke up in the morning and it was floating up side down at the top of the bowl, clearly dead, she poked it and ****.. i went round to hers after school and we were gonna flush it, and went to the tank and it was alive, like swimming roud the bowl all happy.. we renamed it jesus fish, this was a few years a go.. and its still alive!!

nice! i though my hamster died when i was wee, ma dad fed it some whisky and it came back to life haha!
