Your TV is indeed capable of 1080p full HD. Does the screen go blurry when you select 1080p? Check with your HDMI capable as, for some reason, some of the cheaper cables can only reach 1080i.

If it was a really cheap cable then that's probably the reason.

How much is 'loads'? A £5 cable should work lol, I'm using some cheap-ass one that came in a bundle with it and it displays 1080p fine.

Kinda O/T but how can a cheaper cable be worse? A digital signal is either there or it isn't

What he said, surely? Unless different HDMI cables read different digital frequencies? It's a known fact that cheaper HDMI cables perform just as well as expensive ones, it's quite a con

My £7 10m HDMI cable works perfectly from my AV receiver to projector at 1080p 60FPS and 24 FPS.
