    Default Lump inside my ear

I have this lump inside my ear, its quite hard and it really hurts.
I googled it and all I could find was this thing called "lymph node".
It hurts when I touch it and its not the first time ive had it, ive had it before, second time I can remember since December, the funny thing is aswell when ever I get it my mom gets it aswell.
Heres a picture which hopefully shows you in more detail where the lump is.
    No sarcy comments please

Btw its the red circle, this is the only one I could find with the ear sideways and nothing covering the ear
    +rep to anyone who helps

I was thinking that, ive had a spot in my ear before and it was very painful. It was just a lump that stayed there for what seemed like an eternity untill it just went. It never got a head or anything but it was a spot. I guess it is the same kind of thing really.

It could be a spot under the skin, give it a few days maybe and see if it comes to the surface.

I get random little lumps around my ear sometimes, but its usually under the lobe. I went to the doctors and it turned out that it was cus I go to sleep with earphones in, end up falling asleep with them still in then the lumps are caused when I spend the night sleeping on them.

Best bet is going to the doctors.

I got a spot in my ear before and it hurt like hell, took ages to go away because it was one of those horrible ones that are under your skin. I didn't know that the lump in my ear was actually a spot until my mom looked at it and shes a doctor so I suppose yours could be a spot too? And theres no point on going to the doctors for that because they can't really do anything about it.
Keep your mind open, now my love, or else my heart just might close
