You mean this is the start of companies not bothering to port their OS from other devices properly? It's like when people port Android from the G1 to something like a netbook, all of the icons are screwed up etc. :|

Yeah they could have, but porting it to a different architecture, redesigning the interface and making the thing have incredibly efficient standby and fast booting would have taken a long time just so I can run my un fingerfriendly apps on it. This way developers have to recreate applications with a new and better SDK too, so we will have more finger friendly applications. One of the problems with Windows Mobile is how we're still using our old dated apps with fail finger friendliness. No motivation for developers to make something better because people with winmo phones have no choice but to buy the failapps anyways.

I will take a keyboard and mouse (physical ones) any day.

hooking up to monitors keyboards, mice and other peripherals wirelessly is probably coming next. There was some wireless hdmi thing on engadget during CES.

Why can't they make a device which syncs with other portable devices?

If this could sync with iPods (or play/grab music from them) and cameras I would be much more impressed.

This could be cool if it could 'sync over the air', if you have to connect it to a PC then I don't see the point.

Have they even come to the syncing part yet?

And yeh I agree with above, syncing from my iPhone would be amazing.
