Mint cakes are a new form of currency created by traders to combat the rising economy in RuneScape.
These things go for 10m+ a pop.
Mind you, they are only valuable if you have junk to trade with it.

They are hard to get hold of, they come from the Gnome food game, in which you can get the scarf's and goggle, but all these take ages to get especially the mint cake, this is why its extremely rare its pretty much like an Easter egg but can still be put into the game. They are impossible to guy on GE at max, and so they are traded at massive prices which merchants love to.

They updated it though and its more common to get mint cakes from the Gnome food game, so thats why they've crashed.
