    That backronym is entirely false, simply made up by the media attempting to be clever. Also chavs are the ones who (other than perhaps 12 year old emos) are most likely to admit to being part of the subculture in my experience, which is far better than pretending not to be because you're too preconceived with the idea of being *+*OrIgInAl*+*

    A massive amount of scene and indie clothing over the last 4 or 5 years has been based on chav fashion, notably the reprisal of Gola and Diadora along with Adidas classics and whatnot a few years back for scene kids, and also Fred Perry, Jack Wills and Lyle&Scott becoming part of indie fashion in the last couple of years

    The majority of chavs live on council estates with neglectful parents who can barely afford to pay the rent, let alone buy expensive clothes.

    A massive amount of scene and indie clothing over the last 4 or 5 years has been based on chav fashion, notably the reprisal of Gola and Diadora along with Adidas classics and whatnot a few years back for scene kids, and also Fred Perry, Jack Wills and Lyle&Scott becoming part of indie fashion in the last couple of years
    well thats ok because i dont wear any of that
