    Default Reps or Weight

What do you do? Been doing reps for the past year but now I'm going to try out weights see how much (or lack of) improvement occurs till June.

Doesn't it depend on whether you want tone or build

less weight/more reps is for tone, more weight/less reps is for bulk.

All 'toning' does is burn calories you wont get mass

If you want mass lift heavy - 5-8 reps

You have to eat big aswell, 400+ above maintenence gaining 1lb a week is good for a bulk.

Toning doesn't exist. If you want more 'definition' then lose the lard.

Not too sure, lot's of people say different things.

Think I'm going to combine the weights with the reps like a few people have recommended, it'll be an interesting outcome...

Doing a lot of reps with small weights wont make you stronger or much bigger, it's just burning calories.

you dont do alot of reps with larger weights...

Not to mention, if it was big weights then the question wouldnt be asked, because despite how many reps you do, it's still weight.

Depends what you class as reps.

You could do a large number of reps with small weights or three or four reps with weights which don't quite hit your peak.
