So both halves of a trade go through this, "middleman?"

Is runescape trading on this forum that active? And is scamming such a problem as I haven't heard of any scams in those forums for quite some time now.
Yeh both halfs go through mm.

If there's still no easy way of trading then it won't work. And I actually can't remember orangeessh unless you started posting here recently.

And no one trades here anymore. Maybe a few years ago, but the section is hardly living right now.
erm used to be purpleesh, been here for quite a long time lol

Very few people trade anymore, and the ones that do try to trade wont because neither want to go first in the trade.

Just taken a look at the section, there is quite alot of threads for people trying to buy/sell pins. None from what I can see have actually gone through with the trade.

A middleman could be a good idea to implement to make trade's safer and to give a guarantee of some sort, I think you would have to do a poll first to see if members would want one and if they would actually use the middleman and who they want as one etc. I cant see any harm in having one though.

We'll put this to a poll in the trading section and then see if the majority like the idea.

If that is the case this will be discussed further.

It's not just Runescape players that could benefit from this. People buying VIP for Habbo furni as well as trades across hotels could make use of it but I'll leave it there because I've already commented in the poll thread.

As for a 'safe list', I think it could work if it was managed more closely. I didn't experience the last one but by the sound of it, it was extremely easy to establish yourself on it. Maybe if the list consisted of categories such as small trades, medium trades and large trades, this would clearly show what kinds of transactions people have completed safely and wouldn't create such a false sense of security.

Doesnt having a middleman nominated by habbox mean habbox is endorsing it which they don't want to?
