If it turns out 2D it's pretty much an instabuy.

Confirmed 2D only continuing where S3&K left off.

I will never buy another Sonic the Hedgehog as they've just ruined the whole Sonic thing. Everything from Sonic 3 (whatever it was called) just majorly sucked. Old style sega megadrive Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2 for the win.

Ooo, even better if it's 2D. I've been saying I'd be happy if they made a 3D Sonic with side scrolling like in Smash Bros. for years, but if it's going straight to old styled 2D sonic, it's even better

Agreed, S&K was awesome.. especially S3&K. Though see quite a few people complaining that there using modern Sonic and not retro Sonic. would be a fun extra if you could have both. And even tho sonic is the only playable character tails and knuckles better make a appearance. Was annoyed when the bumped Knuckles from Unleashed.

Ah good old classic, I dont know about any of the other sonics but I did like sonic heros.

To be honest, after playing Sonic Adventure no other sonic game is worth playing.

The 2D ones just weren't THAT good to be honest, it's probably the nostalgia talking.

I agree about the Sonic Adventure point, it proves a good Sonic 3D game can be made.

I donno what it is about the 2D sonics but they weren't as good as everyone makes them out to be, I mean sure they were fun the first couple of times but so was slapping yourself across the face after having it numbed at the dentist, it's just painful when you realise what you've done.

Ive enjoyed all the games really i play them for what they are. Sonic running round with a sword.. enjoy best i can. i payed for it might aswell get my moneys worth.

This is just me but Main series. SA2 Awesome. Heroes was meh, 06 Terrible, Unleashed Half awesome half terrible.

And i liked all the handheld games tho chronicles was a dispointment.

If its in chapters, any chance it will be released on a disc eventually? Anyways only 1/2/3/S&K and Advance 1/2/3 are decent.
