Rare Value Desk

I don't see the point in it myself, most people just ask HxHD Staff about what the value of items are.

Well now that the panel is back up and running and values getting updated we can start using it again

I think its important that we have this desk ( as long as its getting used )

Management start a new thread in the Rare Values Forum that this Desk needs to be used???

And I replied to why HxHD is unsuitable, the fact is it doesnt attract the people we need and is far too busy with others chatting about other things along with people asking for help and people just sitting there watching, thus clogging the room up.



No I agree actually, its upto me and Elle to make it work and so far we've failed. We'll discuss it over in light of what you've just told us.

And regardless of room people will chat as your RVR's will invite and take part in a discussion with their friends.

Wouldn't it maybe be more of a sensible idea, if we're doing anything with the RV Desk other than closing it, to maybe focus on a trade aspect heavily?

If by that you mean more into a trading room it would fail like MAD's rooms failed, as theres TC etc no-one would really pay attention to another room and use the ones that are most active atm

It has always suprised my how the desk (Not just this, but all in the past) is never popular, I mean its not as if the majority of the leg work being a RVR is done on Habbo or anything.

Of which Habbox Help Desk Staff are most likely to reply 'visit www.Habbox.com which provides no real help, the idea of a Rare Values Desk is so we can advise people as its part of our job as we follow rares more than a member of the Help Desk would.

I do, and as I said before its because of us lacking really in trying to get it popular. I think we'll give it one more shot as you have shown it does have potential and I remember when I owned one back in 2006 and 2007, it was very popular after a while. It needs effort, and we're going to try.

Indeed, but those asking for help would find it quite hard to get any real advice whilst in a tirrade of text passing by. If anything the idea that HxHD doesn't really get used as a Help Desk would question to most people why have a HxHD department anyway, as is the case in this thread with the Rare Values Desk.

On the second point, I used to own the room back in 2006 and 2007 and after a while it became very popular. When I say it was 25/25 all day, I mean it was actually 25/25 all the time. :8 - I think we'll try and revive it this week, especially as i'm off school and so are a lot of other users.

It does work, it just needs the effort to enable it to lift off the ground.

Most of the time the help desk will go out of their way to find the exact value and if the rare values team actually went into there then the hxhd staff would know the rv team so could ask them questions via IM etc rather than atm where neither "team" talk so wouldn't be able to answer it.

Even with Netaxes as manager he attempted to get it popular and it failed, no-one really needs a desk just based on asking RV questions the only questions you'd get majority of time in a full time room would be "what rares are increasing" so they can purchase a few, also proven in previous RVD's

Because HxHD is a known room, people do actually come in for help just not every 3 minutes, and its a known room on habbo so if it got changed to habbox lounge or something no-one would have an idea what it is so why ruin it if people still do come for help.

As long as it says Rare Value desk I think it sort of contradicts having another desk. HxHD doesn't use our own forum system, we use HxF, we don't make up our own rarevalues, we report Habbox's. If the rare value department made a desk specifically for holding quizes I see no reason why that couldn't be done in our official Habbo room, AKA the Habbox Help Desk.
