As I stated before, I wasn't too fond of the character design but it seems to have grown on me. Probably because I've seen a bunch of epic fanarts and my friend is always showing me funny screen caps from episodes hes just watched.

I have a question though; are the fillers worth watching? I don't really want to waste my time with them if they aren't any good. Also, how much of the 400+ episodes would you say are fillers and can be skipped?

nah you will i was the sort of person who saw the 4kids commercial and was like this sucks. when i started college i was told about about it and i tried it. didnt take me long to catch up been a fan for 4-5 years now.

- 440ish eps
- 10 films
- 2 ovas
- 2 promotional crossovers with dragonball
- 3 movie shorts
- 4 tv specials

well theres like 440 episodes. maybe.. 30 are filler? i dont count canon filler as filler.

Theres a few bad fillers which i'll find out for you
Theres some good fillers which are worth watching.
and Canon filler = Cover story filler which is worth watching because it shows you what xxx is up to which was only touched apon in the manga.

But tbh you'll end up watching the filler and enjoying it anyway. only couple fillers that even bored me which you can skip.

And the animation keeps improving the way through but yes when does Gintama end? 2 weeks? could start watching it then 3-4 wanting to watch OP? pretty sure other will do it aswell if everyone else is.
