Lampard? Gerrard? We're not as one dimensional as people are making out.

Show me reasonable stats from both players set-pieces and I may agree. Not just goals, but assists. When was the last time we saw a free-kick scored by an England player?

This is more of a worry to Beckham than it is to England, it's obvious you don't watch football, he would only bit a player their for morale, Beckham will still probably go unofficially with the management just for his dressing room morale, loosing Beckham is nothing compared to loosing Stevie G, Lamps, Rooney, Terry, Ferdinand, Cole, etc.
You want pictures of my Orient season tickets? I have 12 in my bedroom at present - if anyone watches football more than once a year on this forum it is me and a few others. And ferdinand is ****? He is always 'injured' when it helps him. If I could choose one of Englands well known players to **** off, it would be him.

A ten minute player that changes the game when he comes on. But still its only the last 20 minutes of a game - so what does that matter? I mean Manchester United would fail without those last 20, but still, 20 minutes is nothing. Oh wait I was being sarcastic.

I don't think it will harm England's World Cup chances much, if at all. He'll still be in South Africa hanging with the squad I'm sure and he was only ever gonna be a bit part player.
It was said he had one - but that all seemed mor like a he went out for dinner and suddenly he had sex with her sort of thing

The what he looks like bit was a joke though . He was only going to come on in the last 20 or so - but that when he has played for England is when we are best.

I went off on you onthe above post, but nice to see you to realise why people love him. His crossing and playon the wing is immense. Far, far better than ANY England player.

Hit the nail on the head.

    ----
And just for a bit of history.. Beckham used to play in Leyton Orient's Academy

I'm not being bias because Lennon belongs to Spurs, but you have to be crazy. Johnson is good, but not as good or experienced as Lennon. He's improved alot this season. 3 goals and 9 assists in 18 games isn't bad.

Yes, he could score more but he is definately one of the best at getting past defenders in the league.

More experience? What poor reasoning. Remind me again with what happened to Walcott?

Getting past players? The reasoning behind the crying over Beckham is his delivery but fine by me, skill it is. First thing Johnson did when he came on against Sunderland was take it around one Sland player then another and then passed it to RSC who scuffed it. Johnson is an all round better player than Lennon and will achieve more than Lennon.

I'm pretty sure Lennon beats Johnson in term of skill too... Look, I'm not saying he's not a great footballer and that he won't get better, but I don't think you can say he's better than Lennon already just by judging him on 3 months work in the Premier League.

Johnson should not be ahead of Lennon, simple. However I would like Johnson & Milner & Walcott to go as they are versatile and will put in a good shift for their country.

i have to agree, makes me laugh how everyone, mainly because of the media, now thinks we can't win the WC because we haven't got beckham? HE WASN'T GOING TO START ANYWAY, AND WAS ONLY GOING FOR EXPERIENCE AND MORALE!!!!!!!!!!! ARGHHH

really does piss me off, seriously

if anything england are more stronger without him, gives a younger, more skilled player a big chance to shine, beckham will still go as part of the coaching staff anyway.

You have just said exactly why we need Beckham. Experience and Morale - talking about fighting yourself.

And can we be honest - England has a **** line of talents young players. Too many kids thinking being good at Fifa will make them good players.
