Pokémon GOLD-SILVER remakes [HeartGold & SoulSilver]

I don't think i've ever been so excited for a game!
I meen I was excited for diamond/pearl yeah but this is a totally different level
Only games I've ever got this excited over were dragon age [let down] tales of vesperia [awesome] and dq9 [not out yet!]

Something that's been bothering me, among the immense excitement, is the pokewalker. I know from the descriptions of it that carrying it around gains XP for the pokemon within but I take it doesn't affect EVs? Would it be safe to assume that since EVs are dished out depending on opponents stats, if there's no opponent then there's no EVs? Can anyone clarify?

Yeah the pokemon dont gain EVs or evolve, or learn moves I think.... although I'm not sure about that last one (I think I heard if you level them up again in game they'll learn the move, although im not certain).
Also you can only level up once each walk, which is kind of ****

Don't know if I should get Gold or Silver, the Gold exclusives are better but I had Silver when I was little.

I never completed the original Pokemon Gold, I got stuck after the 8th gym and had no idea where to go

I pre-ordered it off play.com but my card got rejected so I'm just gonna go out and buy it on friday morning

I had Gold and I'm getting SoulSilver. I'll probably buy HeartGold later in the year (got a long plane journey for holiday in July) so I can start again without losing anything on SoulSilver

If you do 2000 steps in 1 mile - You will have to travel 1000 miles to unlock ALL the things for the pokewalker (areas)

Im picking up Soul Silver.. I might pick up a DSI XL With it aswel

I have a 10 hour flight comin' up aswel but my DSi would die within about 3 hours so I'll just bring a book instead
