Default New Marketplace Can Make Values So Much Easier To Estimate

I've not been on habbo around 9 months, and I've recently come online and noticed this new marketplace scheme habbo have made to boost demand for credits (and gain more money :rolleyes. As I have found out about the Club Sofa both losing demand and gaining supply, therefore making an incredible plunge in its value, it seems almost like habbo has been hit by inflation with the ridiculous soar in some prices.

However, with this new marketplace letting you know about the averages, it can be so much simpler for habbox and anybody with a calculator to make a very accurate estimate of what the true value of an item is. Knowing that the gold bar is valued at 8.3CS you can calculate a value of an item.

The calculation to work out the full Club Sofa value of an item on habbo, using the average credit value would be:

    Example: Throne (Average: 826)

    826/50=16.52

    16.52x8.3=137.116

So the average value of a throne being sold on the marketplace would be 137CS.

This shows that the marketplace, even though the marketplace has destroyed the Club Sofa's value, can be easily used to gain the best possible accurate value of an item.

There are however a couple of problems using this calculation unfortunately. Firstly, the value that habbox give the gold bar, has to be at least 90% accurate to make sure that they can gain the most accurate average value of an item sold on the marketplace. And a final problem would be that not all trades are completed over the marketplace so if many trades of a certain item were made outside the marketplace, this value would not be noticed unless a Rare Values Reporter spots the trade. But of course with the increasing amount of people wantingl or buy items using credits they will use the marketplace habbox can use this to their advantage to gain a very accurate value on items.

Wouldn't mind seeing peoples opinions on this and can anybody correct me if I am wrong with this calculation that I have discovered. I also think it would be a very good suggestion for the Rare Values Team to at least consider using as I am positively sure that they can gain the most accurate value possible, which I know from experience, can not always be easy.

Moved my Mr-Trainor (Forum Moderator): from 'Report Rare Values' to here. As you said, it's better suited to this forum

Mods may want this moving to 'Anything About Trading and Furni' forum, as I was a bit unsure where to put this, but it may be best suited there.

I personally totally disagree with the marketplace...

Primarily it has destroyed the enjoyment of trading, all shops these days are pathetic to put in politely, theres no haggling and thrill of searching and collecting furni.
Furthermore, the average isnt accurate, for example, i was designing a room where i required ALOT of 4season trees, after failing to find enough in shops, i became desperate, and ended up buying alot of market, some for even 18c per.

Now, obviously those are worth like 3c per, so me buying them for that has increased the average, which is totally wrong, now people will think that they are worth more than they actually are, and im sure im not the only person who has done this...

I agree with acousticD, market is totally crap atm, no1 haggling, people called each other names if they don't like the price etc

The way I see market can be rigged just at the expense of 2c.. it could be the same person whose buying and selling just to raise a price of an item, e.g. by saying someone bought it for so and so.

    Exactly, the marketplace is flawed.

Their is some good things about the market place and some not so good. Firstly, the good thing is that you can get the average price of the furni from Habbo itself to see the true average value for that item but like other said that they are now distroying the cred shops. On behalf of the bad news, they also charge 1 cred per 8 items listed and it still doesn't increase the tickets when it is removed afterwards. So that is what i personally think of the marketplace but try and think possitive that it will really help the rare values reporters work put the value easier with an average value from Habbo then working it out by them selves and getting other members to find out what they are selling for.

No need to be rude, I'm just trying to give some positives on the subject. People like you need to calm down. You've just made yourself look like a complete ignorant idiot so well done on that.
