That's pretty much the whole concept of the word 'based'. Anyway there were loads of aspects which vaguely resembled NYC, for example; Central Park, Ground Zero, JFKA.

GTA III had all these? I don't remember the central-city island having any of them. It was a long time ago though, I remember there being a building site and a car park you can get a stunt bonus

The building site would have been relevant to Ground Zero and there was a park on the same island. The airport was on the third island.

Playing through San Andreas has made me realise how obvious it was they were going back to Liberty City to it, even flying back to Liberty City, so anywhere in particular in GTA IV that got mentioned? I can only think of San Andreas because of all the "Fly To Los Santos // Las Venturas". Who thinks the same?

I wouldn't be disappointed.

However it's looking increasingly likely that it will be Vice City. Which again, will not be disappointing.

That would be amazing. Just like Liberty City, it'd be redone.

Perhaps it could be taking on just like the first 3D GTA? Like GTA III then Vice City? And now its doing it again like GTA IV then Vice City?

What information is there to it being Vice City again too out of interest?

It gives us nothing, really. But I've read many stories mostly linking to Vice City.

Would be interesting to see what they do with Vice City. Is it based on anything, or was Liberty City the only map based on a real life location?

To be honest I liked San Andreas the best, gang culture was always entertaining. Planes also ftw.

Can't remember if it's been said or what but when I first saw that image I always imagined the tear in the paper to be the shape of a country... would be a fantastic clue if it was.
