What great idea!On your own. I imagine some stay in order to deal with the time zone issues but it means they can merge their customer services so lets say each hotel has 10 staff, they could probably have just 10 staff now not 50. PLUS I imagine some MODs can go. I say they should merge the EU, well parts of it rather then countries which are miles apart.
Then not only could we have Spanish people with Spanish people (like myself) but we could have the french, germans, romanians, russians all trying to talk to each other! Just no.
My thoughts on the staffing issue:
1 x Team of Moderators (15 maximum) - We have them around the clock in the UK now, so why would we need them from all around the world to deal with time zones?
1 x Team of Player Support (5 Maximum) - Again, we don't have them around the clock, and they are all usually dealt with around 48 hours after the Habbo Help Tool.
5 x Hotel Manager - Of course, this is where the time zones come into effect. We wouldn't want just one who would be on in UK hours but leaving AU in the cold.. would we?
1 x Team of Community Staff (10 Maximum) - Again, from different time zones, so everybody is kinda used to who they're with.
1 x Team of Advertising and Marketing (4 Maximum) - Habbo UK had loads doing that job, I'm unsure why they needed that many people.
I can see the negatives from this, but there are LOADS of positives. The quests that we do will be better prepared and actually will take some doing instead of looking at how USA hotel has done it and copying their answers. Campaigns for films and stuff will be phenomenal cause they will reach such a vast cross-section of the world.
Lets see how this pans out![]()
This is great news for the AU hotel. It is the ONLY way they can improve it!
Anyone know WHENthis si happening?
I think you're just picking numbers out the sky to be honest. My thoughts on the staffing issue:

There won't be an easy way to transfer all the habbo names over and the rare values will be a shambles. They may well think this'll attract more people to habbo but believe me, they'll lose most their current visitors. I have more than enough trouble with Habbo ID as it is.
They've been far too vague as well, why don't they shut up until they have firm details and facts to tell us all.

The stupidest comment I have seen in this thread. " Sulake haven't thought this through at all? Its like merging the Labour party and the Conservatives, UK and USA are totally opposite, the will be Riots and Protests, Foolish Idea!"This will cause massive problems for Sulake, I think this is were the whole tag idea comes in (Gummyish-UK) etc... And the furni prices, this will be funnySulake haven't thought this through at all? Its like merging the Labour party and the Conservatives, UK and USA are totally opposite, the will be Riots and Protests, Foolish Idea!
That comment clearly shows either:
a) You have no idea who or what the Labour / Conservative parties are
b) You like to make yourself look silly on purpose
c) Worst example ever and you have no clue what the hell you are on about
They have thought this through. Its not a decision in which the CEO comes in and goes HEY LETS MERGE ALL THE HOTELS. This would have taken months of planning, if not a whole year.
May I believe.
There's two ways to look at this merge:
Yes it will cause problems with names and rare values for sure. It will annoy the hell out of a lot of rare traders and rare collectors.
However, in a few months (maximum 6), people will get used to it. Everything would have been sorted out. There will be no more confusion.
It is great in a way that everyone will be in the same hotel. More events, more competitions, more games, more rooms, more people to make friends with.
I think Habbo have brought their downfall themselves.
v7 was perfect. There was little wrong with it. It was easy to use. They kept trying to improve it when all they did was over complicate it and make it awful. Worst move was switching to BETA and finally off BETA without Battleball and Snowstorm. It was one of the best ways to keep users in, but they didn't fix it in time.
In all honestly, they are to blame for this downfall. Get too greedy and you fail.
It'd be better if they just wiped all the names and everyone got to choose new ones, especially as everyone called Jameseh is inactive.
people are saying Sulake haven't thought this through. they clearly have, this is why they are bringing the change into action. these are professional business people and they think this turn of event will make an even more positive impact towards their company. it's smart business. you can leave, you can complain, protest, Habbo probably doesn't care because their decision is now finalized and I am very excited for the future of Habbo. it will eventually become more popular and the people saying they'll leave most likely won't.
I wonder if buying credits will get cheaper at all... It could be possible!
On their half, its simple, not enough money is being made to pay their staff, consequently they are making redundancies. From a business view I think its a good change, although as a Habbo, I think they'll lose many users, and maybe not make so much from advertisement campaigns given the smaller number of users. I also think maybe they should award people will certain rares depending on what the marketplace values them at, making it fairer for all users. Maybe a "Convert my Rare into Credits" scheme right before the merge.
I guess theres 2 sides to every argument. Tbh why did they make separate ones to begin?
One for the road.
