So seriously how is that lazy if they are getting the same money. Raising a family is alot harder than working

If this is the case how come they have NOT done this up to now? More false promises?......... I am still waiting for them to be tough on crime and the causes of crime....... I was going to post the article about over 40% of prisoners with Sky and a Games console in their cells.

utterly irresponsible people. what i can't get around my head is '£50/mo Sky' and then her complaining that it's 'really hard' - assuming that these statements are true, why don't you just stick to free tv!?

i'd hate to think of the living conditions of these lot because i wouldn't want to try and split 40k/yr between 9/10 people.
    goodbye.

It's part of their 2010 manifesto, and in all honesty, it's the best proposal i've seen in the 2010 manifestos so far. I have all confidence that they will do the cutting benefits thing, the thing I doubt here is the fact they will find everyone a job, but they will find some jobs.

Labour are the ones that introduced the benefits system, and right now, while Labour are in power, it's a load of crap.

EDIT; Sorry, jrh2002 already brought this up.

If you have kids you cant afford to support then you are an idiot. If you sit on your fat arse getting handouts while you scrounge from the sytem that makes you lazy. Responsible couples work hard to afford to support their family be that one of them working or both working. The trouble with this country is idiots who think having kids is everybody elses responsibility.

But after 13 years they have still not carried out promises from when they got in to power and anybody who believes anything that involves snake eyes Mandelson should get a reality check If somebody else gets in to power and dont do as they promise I will be saying this about them so its not just Labour bashing

What took them 13 years? It's too late now anyway, if they get jobs the tax payer will just end up paying for nursery and childminders etc, it's totally unworkable.

I also think your pathetic for -repping Undertaker for being "racist". You may well think that but you have to give him credit for defending his points and supporting a political party. It's not racist to agree with a political party. Unlike you, he actually posts in the forums regularly rather than appearing occasionally and then running off when they get "owned", he also doesn't stoop to the levels of -repping people like a complete and utter moron over their views, keep the debates on here. I also say this because a couple of months back you did the same to me, this should be out wide in the open and you are effectively ruining what is decent debating here in Current Affairs.

This is the reason us tax payers get angry when we are all working hard to make ends meet and we have people like these :@ Having more babies to them is like somebody in full time employment getting a big payrise. This proves the benefits system is failing as its not an isolated case. We had some guy in Derbyshire with 16 kids and some of those were in their 20's with 2 - 3 kids each........ This family should have their children put up for adoption, the mother should be spaded like a dog and the couple should live in a hostel. People like this make me sick and until our benefits system gets a huge shake-up it will continue to happen with scum making this lifestyle a career choice. I can get angry about this but whos the idiot? Thats right I am the idiot for paying my tax in to a system that looks after the scum.

Can anybody defend this? I don't blame the family for doing it as its playing the system which benefits them but just shows how wrong the system is.
Truly disgusting, it's also note worthy how unhappy the majority of the kids look. The guy in Derbyshire also has a wife and a girlfriend and a ferrari lmao.

It's got to the point where I don't feel angry at these people, I sort of agree with them, the system is there to be taken advantage of. If I could live a better lifestyle without working, I would do that, who wouldn't? The people I blame is the government, it's disgusting how flawed the benefits system is.

They have had 13 years - more fool you if you believe them for the fourth time around, which brings me to the central point; why do you believe them for the fourth time around?

    ''and Mercedes, two.''
So kind of them, to actually name one of their children after a car they bought via tax payers. I really do not understand the mentality of people like this. If the kids follow their parents lead then there could be: 8 x children mentioned + 8 partners + 8 children per = 90 people living off the state in one family and the parents as they will probably be wanting their state pension 10 years early or something.

Mr Davey gave up working 9 years ago, which was before the 3rd child was born, he actually states he knew they would be better off living off the state. Not daft is he.

Most children look to their parents for role models. What does this way of living teach?

Mrs Davey has never had a full time job, yet she says she would if she could. That now would be ridiculous, as she is carrying their 8th child and would love to have as many as 14 children. Her work surely is at home raising her children and trying to be a mother.

Neither really have any intention of working for a living; there must be thousands upon thousands in our country who think just like them, maybe more.

The Labour Government should have dealt with this issue a long time ago, because if everyone had the same attitude, where would we be.

As to the Labour Government capping their benefits, it’s too little too late for families like this. What are the chances of Mr Davey finding a job that gives him an income greater than the benefits they currently receive?

The more children they keep producing, the longer they can keep taking from the system.
